A CHEDDAR holiday park has been awarded five stars by the AA due to its outstanding facilities and services.

Broadway House Holiday Park achieved an 82 per cent rating in the AA Quality Standard a six point increase on last year when it was awarded four stars.

In addition, the park has retained enjoyEngland.com's Rose Award which highlights and promotes quality holiday complexes that also provide a good proportion of first-class accommodation for hire.
Broadway House, which is located at the foot of the Mendip Hills, was taken over by Darwin Holidays early last year and the competition standard BMX track at the park has already undergone a revamp.

More improvements are planned for the year ahead and Darwin Holidays is working closely with Natural England to help preserve and enhance the Area Outstanding Natural Beauty which surrounds the park.

Just some of the facilities on offer include an outdoor heated swimming pool, a skateboard park, crazy golf and an adventure playground.

A spokesperson for Darwin Holidays said: "Broadway House Holiday Park has continued to go from strength to strength since Darwin Holidays took over the reigns and our new and improved AA rating recognises all the hard work that our staff have put in throughout the past year.

We aim to improve facilities even more this year and we want to ensure that the park becomes more of a part of the community, and our successful firework party in October, which was enjoyed by hundreds of locals, was a taste of what's to come."
